Passport Renewal Services in Indonesia

Your passport is a key piece of travel luggage that allows you to travel the world. It is essential to renew your passport as soon as possible, before it expires. The process can be quick and simple at the Indonesian embassy in Singapore, but it’s important to know what documents you’ll need and how much it will cost before you start the renewal process.

Your Current Passport

Before you begin the renewal process, it’s important to make sure your passport is still valid and that all of the necessary information has been sent to the embassy. You can check this on the State Department’s website or by calling their passport helpline syarat buat paspor.

If your passport is expired, you can request a replacement by mail. You’ll need to submit a certified copy of your current passport, proof of citizenship and any other documents you may need to show your identity. You can also download and print a new passport application form.

You should also have the following documents ready when you apply:

An updated passport photo (two 2'' by 2'' photos - one for front and one for side) taken at least six months before your current passport expires or before you traveled to Indonesia. These photos should be taken in natural light and with a clear white background without glasses or hats.

Other documents that you may need include:

A recommendation letter from an authorized government agency or company in your country of residence to support your passport application.

The recommendation letter must include the name, date of birth and place of residence of the applicant. If the applicant is a migrant worker, it must include their employment contract and any other relevant paperwork that proves their ties to their employer or placement company.

Additional documents that may be needed for some types of passport applications include:

A legal name change document if you have changed your name due to marriage, divorce or a court-ordered name change.

For a child, you must have an updated birth certificate, which should list the parents’ names and dates of birth. You may also need a birth announcement or other paperwork that shows the birth is legal.

If your child is a foreign national, you must have a birth certificate from the issuing country and a photo of both the parents. This can be done at the same time as your renewal application, but you must be prepared to wait for it to be processed.

Other types of applications, such as an emergency or replacement passport, can be made online using a mobile application called M-Paspor. This can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.

You can also use a paper application form to complete your renewal and bring it along with you when you apply at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore. Be sure to fill it out completely and carefully.

Once you’ve filled out the form and submitted it, the embassy will send it to the nearest Indonesian consulate in your home country. They’ll then contact you to let you know the status of your application.
